His research interests focus on the development of process-based environmental models, mainly in hydrology and water resources management. He is the Co-ordinator of the EU-FP7 project \u2018Climate Induced Changes on the Hydrology of Mediterranean Basins\u2019 (CLIMB) and chairs the collaborative program \u2018Changes in the Hydrological Cycle\u2019 of the European Climate Research Alliance ECRA (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.ecra-climate.eu\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">www.ecra-climate.eu<\/a>). Further, he specializes in multi-scale and multi-parametric SAR and optical remote sensing, data assimilation and model integration and acts herein as PI and Co-I in several ESA, DLR and ASI projects.
